A RUNNING ORDER FOR YOUR OWN TABLE

Make time
for the whole evening.

Choose 20–120 whole minutes, a start time and how familiar the game is. The tool suggests a shape; the people at your table decide how to use it.

No date, address or attendee details are needed.

YOUR SESSION

A beginning.
A middle.
A good ending.

Build a plan to see the suggested timings.

Where the
minutes go.

New games get a larger explanation allowance. Sessions of 45–89 minutes include a 5-minute pause; sessions of 90 minutes or more include 10. Shorter plans have no scheduled pause, but you can always pause when the group needs to.

The remaining time goes to play after the welcome, explanation, pause and close. The total always matches the minutes you choose. Times after midnight are marked “+1 day”. This is a wall-clock plan, not a calendar or daylight-saving calculator.

Keep the plan flexible. A game’s actual length and the group’s needs may call for a different arrangement.
